HarbourFront Passenger Terminal is the ferry terminal in Singapore's south, run by Singapore Cruise Centre. Seven routes leave from here to Batam, Karimun and Nirup Island. For Bintan and Johor, go to Tanah Merah instead.
The routes from HarbourFront
Batam Centre is the busiest route: Batam Fast, Majestic and Sindo sail it more than thirty times a day, in about 70 minutes. The same three operators also run to Sekupang in about 50 minutes. See HarbourFront - Batam Centre and HarbourFront - Sekupang.
Horizon sails to Harbour Bay in about 50 minutes and to Nirup Island in about 45 minutes. Batam Fast and Sindo serve Gold Coast Bengkong, Sindo runs weekend sailings to Waterfront City and sails to Tanjung Balai on Karimun in about 90 minutes. Getting to HarbourFront
The terminal's address is 5 HarbourFront Avenue, Singapore 099549. It sits in HarbourFront Tower 1, at the end of a covered walkway through HarbourFront Centre.
- MRT: HarbourFront station on the North East Line and the Circle Line. Take Exit B and follow the covered walkway. From the city centre it is about 15 minutes, from Changi Airport 40 to 50 minutes.
- Bus: lines 10, 30, 57, 61, 65, 80, 97, 100, 131, 143, 145, 166, 855 and 963 stop nearby.
- Taxi: 10 to 15 minutes from the city centre and 25 to 30 minutes from Changi Airport. There is a pick-up zone for taxis and private hire cars.
Check-in and security
The terminal opens baggage drop 60 minutes and the security gate 45 minutes before departure. Baggage drop closes 20 minutes and security 15 minutes before departure; have your passport and boarding pass ready. The operators set their own, earlier deadlines: Batam Fast, Majestic and Sindo close check-in 30 minutes before departure, Horizon 20 minutes. Singapore's departure immigration comes after security, so plan to arrive well ahead. The operators' ticket counters are on Level 1.
Luggage
The terminal rule applies to every operator: one piece of hand luggage of up to 10 kg and 55 x 40 x 20 cm, and 20 kg of checked baggage per boarding pass, with no single piece over 30 kg. Excess baggage and bulky items such as bicycles and surfboards are charged.
In the terminal
HarbourFront has self-service check-in kiosks, a VIP lounge, an ATM, money exchange, food outlets and duty-free shopping, plus a prayer room and a nursing room.
Coming back
The return sailings from Batam, Karimun and Nirup arrive at HarbourFront, where you clear Singapore immigration. Visitors submit the SG Arrival Card before they arrive, also when they come by sea.
